Holy Spirit, river of living water, flow from faith in Jesus. Move through me toward a person who is thirsty. Amen.

Where John 7:38 sits in Scripture

John writes so that the reader will believe Jesus is the Christ. His lines often turn on a sign, a saying, or an 'I am' that needs the scene around it. On Tuesday, December 22, 2026, John 7:38 is the verse set aside for prayer. The chapter stays open so the sentence is not lifted out of its place.

    Questions about John 7:38

What are the rivers of living water in John 7:38?

December 22, 2026 reads John 7:38: whoever believes in Jesus, rivers of living water will flow from within them. The Spirit is not a trickle you manage. The water moves outward, toward someone thirsty, not only toward your comfort.

Does this verse depend on how intense I feel?

It depends on belief in Jesus, and John explains the water as the Spirit. Ask for the Holy Spirit by name. Do not wait for a dramatic feeling before the river counts.

Toward whom should the water flow today?

Name one thirsty person: lonely, doubting, or simply near you. Pray John 7:38 and let one word, prayer, or kindness move toward them.
